Presenter
Dr Jim Lemon is a Consulatnt Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years experience working in a range of NHS settings. He currently leads the Medical Paediatric Psychology Service, and the Staff Psychological Services of NHS Dumfries & Galloway. He and his colleauges have been applying ACT for over a decade, and have co-developed a ProSocial framework, which uses the DNA-V model of psychological flexibility to improve how we relate to ourselves, each other, and our teams and communities.

ProSocial https://www.prosocial.world/ is an evidence-based approach used around the world to increase cooperation, for the benefit of individuals, teams and communities. It does this by identifying & enhancing psychological ‘skills’ to enable us to adapt, and then groups develop and apply ‘shared agreements’. For almost a decade, many people across Dumfries & Galloway have been helping co-develop ProSocial projects and we now have adapted versions of ProSocial which fit specific contexts.

This workshop will outline what ProSocial is, outlining the scientific principles on which it is founded, and we will walk through the steps and practical exercises involved in becoming more ProSocial. We will show how ProSocial has evolved as a framework to address the complex challenges we face and improve outcomes for people and teams in Health and Social Care settings.
